That is soo me and my wife. Sometimes, when I'm a rage and see her looking at me with this dreamy expression on her face, I stop and we both start laughing and I change the subject ;)

When I saw the first pics of his dick rocket I thought "Oh, The Onion at it again, they got him good!". Nope. That guy needs help but he's way up too high in the "Sure boss, great idea!" league to ever get an honest opinion or piece of advice on anything.

Hm.
"Of the 24% of children living in a single-parent family, only 3% were living with a single father." source: https://www.bgsu.edu/ncfmr/resources/data/family-profiles/eickmeyer-single-parent-families-fp-17-17.html
.
"there are 1.8 million men who are “solo” fathers to a minor child who live with that child and are not living with a spouse or partner. Less than 6.0% (about 2 million) of all fathers of minor children are “solo” dads but 20.2% (about 7 million) are “absent” dads of all of their minor children". source: https://www.census.gov/library/stories/2019/11/the-two-extremes-of-fatherhood.html

Call me old fashioned or too uptight - I'd rather have neither men nor women run around half-naked anywhere but secluded places or their privacy, but that's just a personal preference and I wouldn't want to outlaw it either way. It's just unfair to see it as acceptable when men do it, but not for women.
.
Otoh I don't get my knickers in a twist when I see a dressed up woman's nipples through her clothes which apparently still is scandalous behavior in most US places.

Well, the very fact that (some) males complained about topless women in places where topless MEN were accepted started the movement in the first place.

Kranken = sick person (genitive)
Haus = house
Wagen = car
.
Now, what do you think a "Krankenwagen" is? Call us Germans anything you want, but our language rocks!

"Being fat is purely a personal choice, so loose weight or suck it up, fatso" seems to be the message of that meme. As a huge number of people not only in the USA but in most western countries, have a fairly high BMI, accommodating them isn't only doing business properly, it's common courtesy and proper social behavior. It's a medical, cultural and political problem, and it's concerning our whole society.

So what they're basically saying is they're not a mindless chad. That's a good thing for sure but is it worth mentioning?

^^ one of these internet rules: visible phone numbers will be called by a lot of idiots. If potential idiots have to take 5 seconds to google it, the number of acting idiots will drop to zero.

It's just too easy these day for people to trigger young, uhm, let's call them conservatives, and make them believe seventeen idiots and three trolls on Twitter are a relevant movement they need to resist and fight. And as to CRT: not one single "critic" who has ever spoken out in public against it has the smallest idea of what it actually is. It's one of those major triggers the members of the Hannity/Carlson/O'Reilly cult of eternal idiocy & ignorance love to react on.

About 10 years ago, the Cassini space probe showed the Saturn rings are actually a lot older than scientists thought. Instead of about 100 million years, they are apparently nearly as old as our entire universe, about 4,5 billion years. I hope this fact does not cause an existential crisis for anyone.

I was wondering whether Native Americans traditionally eat pork and found how apparently pigs were introduced to (north) America in the mid 16th century by a spanish guy named Hernando de Soto: " He brought America's first 13 pigs to Tampa Bay, Fla., in 1539. As the herds grew, explorers used the pigs not only for eating as fresh meat but for salt pork and preserved pork. American Indians were reportedly so fond of the taste of pork that attacks to acquire it resulted in some of the worst assaults on the expedition. By the time de Soto died three years later, his original herd of 13 pigs had grown to 700 – a very conservative estimate. This number doesn't include the pigs eaten by his troops, those that escaped and became wild pigs (the ancestors of today's feral pigs), and those given to the American Indians to keep the peace. " That's actually about as long ago as when potatoes became popular in Europe. So yeah, apparently it's a long tradition.

I've heard people say this frog is like cancer, but that's inappropriate. It's like cancer plus the nausea and hair loss of chemo.
