I heard often they are not allowed to bring their pets which is an absolute dealbreaker for them.

I am used to drinking just tab most of the time.
Although I have to say the water in Vienna (where I am from) was better than here in NRW (where I live now)

We are lucky enough to live in a country where you can drink tap water. And it actually doesn't taste funny eighter.

What books are that?

It's by Cixin Liu and there is also "The Dark Forrest" and "Death's End" in the triology. They have some very interesting ideas - kind of: with the size of the universe there's bound to be other life. But are we sure we want to be found?
