We would go fishing with our grandfather at the lake on their property. One of the first times with all 9 grandkids, where some of us where still learning, I swung back too aggressively. I caught my grandfather’s leg. Not a fish but still unusual to catch a human leg.

In a marine biology class in college I had a rather dim classmate who had to present on the cowfish. She stated that is had no skeleton! Our professor and everyone else couldn’t fully process what she’d said initially. When the prof asked her why she thought that, apparently she had watched an episode of Tanked where they said cowfish have no skeletons and didn’t check that out before putting it in her presentation. She might’ve been slightly chewed out for that.
I still sometimes think about how dumb you’d have to be to use a reality tv show as a reference for a science presentation.
Sorry for length but the increasing amount of cowfish has made me think about that more lately
