I was given directions to an airbnb by its Norwegian owner. Most Norwegians speak perfect English, but this was in a very remote area an on an island as well, so their English was not perfect. She gave me the following gem:
"Turn left at the Jesus House"
It is to this day the most hilarious and creative way I have ever heard someone describe a church.

It's been a while, but about 15 yrs ago I worked at a boutique that sold only italian name brands.
They would buy the jeans for less than 30 $ and sell them for nearly 200 $. People thought they were getting a deal when the store sold them half off, but the store was still getting 3 x the buy in price for them...
I have never looked at clothing stores the same after.
EDIT: typos

I understand how awesome this guy was for the concept, the execution, and the painstaking patience needed to do this, but all I think about is when you sit on that chair you're gonna have spiders in your hair....

The perfect way is clearly the following:
Tell him about our Saviour; The Lord Jesus Christ Almighty. Don't forget to tell him about remaining celibate even after marriage!

This is cool, but have you seen bonsai trees? Those are normal trees like the ones you see anywhere outside but by diligence and sheer force of will people keep those suckers small enough to sit on your coffee table.

Need some advice!
I have a friend like this who is by all counts not skinny and possibly on the other end of the spectrum to the point where it will be effecting her health.
She's a sweetheart, but she often says things like she's "mostly muscle", and I stop myself from saying "muscle doesn't jiggle, dear".
What do I do to help her see the truth?

Here's my European take on things:
In Norway, where I live, there are laws in place to prevent extreme wage gaps. For example, the CEO of a company will earn more than the lowest employee and can live a very wealthy life, however, he will have to make do with only 1 private jet. This ensures that the lowest employee of this same company makes enough money to sustain a humane standard of living.
What we call a humane standard of living consists of being able to have a home, food, transportation, the time to take vacation and means to do so, and allow their kids to go to college.
This "humane standard of living" is something that every single person who contributes to the functioning of society is entitled to. Because while some jobs require more schooling or expertise, all jobs, including the mailman, the desk clerk, etc. are necessary to keep society functioning the way it does, and no ones contribution can be missed.
It seems that the US has no such humane standard of living.
