False representation of the story and facts. Those comments represent a single man, not the community as a whole. An incredibly simple google search helps fight misinformation rather than spreading it mindlessly. http://www.snopes.com/north-carolina-town-rejects-solar-panels/

People can also have opinions without being discredited due to their gender. "Who cares what men think?" sounds unbelievably sexist.

Just a thought, but men have a lot of physical appearance standards as well. As a kid that was tall and scrawny all through high school, I spent a lot of time wishing I could lose my fast metabolism and "bulk up" so I would be more muscular and more attractive. Not saying it's as bad as with girls, but there is a LOT of pressure on guys in our culture to look good in order to be worthwhile.

As a US citizen who votes, this is so accurate it hurts. For those of you elsewhere, please just know that not all of us are happy and some of us tried to stop this. It is a corrupt and broken system and there are a lot of US citizens who are rational and extremely frustrated.

Yes and no... DC has definitely taken an aggressive path to sexualize Harley since she first appeared in 1992. Starting in 2009 with the Arkham Asylum game her costume became much more sexual. Comics then changed to reflect the new look. Then there was another major shift to the current comic look in 2011 when DC relaunched their comic line. Long story short? 17 years of full-body leotard and 7 years of Cleavage Quinn. Sex sells and DC's for-profit.

I'd like to second this. As a US citizen, I'll be the first to admit that our country can be incredibly self-centered, but I can't recall seeing a map centered this way. The break typically is placed in the Pacific.

This is obviously not everything at play for Trump supporters, but as a U.S. citizen, it's definitely some things that stand out to me.

Trump is a personality. In today's United States, a larger-than-life, celebrity personality goes an astoundingly far way with the American populace.
- Some people are rallying behind what they perceive to be a no-nonsense, say-what-he-wants politician who doesn't feel like he's part of the pre-existing political structure (which almost all sides of the US population feel is failing them in one way or another).
- Some are getting behind the desperate hope that someone, anyone, could "Make America Great Again!" when so much of it feels broken.
- Some are flocking to Trump as the solution to frustration over a nation they feel is obsessed with political correctness instead of solutions. Where they perceive that nothing ever gets accomplished.
- And some, I honestly believe, are simply caught up in the excitement and allure of a flashy, rich man dangling the idea in front of them that the United States of America could be rich and flashy as well (and by extension, all Americans).

papajohn, I agree. I mean, puberty or whatever doesn't much matter. But really, why make life tough for a kid that potentially struggled to get up the courage to ask a girl out, take her on a date, and is likely already stressed about doing and saying the right thing. Why would you want to be the bad in the world so intentionally? We're better than that.

They are made of soapstone. They are non-porous so they do not absorb the liquid. They work well with alcohol because they slightly cool the drink. They would be fairly useless if you are trying to get a drink ice cold.
