As someone who cuts gemstones, I can say two things: First, I really like the design. Secondly, Cutting and polishing the top (which in this photograph is at the bottom) with all of those inclusions would be an exercise in anxiety hoping that you wouldn't wind up with a hole in one of the facets - or even worse - cracking the gem and tossing the result in the Jar of Misfit Gems

Insectivores. They used to be KoS for me, but ever since I learned that they prey on other insect pests that I want in my house even less (bedbugs, termites, cockroaches, silverfish, spiders and other household pests), they get a pass. In fact, they keep them as pets in Japan. ( I admit, however, that the Japanese can have a strange sense of normal.)
