Even my parents don't touch my stuffs without telling me first.
The "your things mean our things" is ridiculous. Everyone has their private things that they don't want others touch. And with me, if they don't have the politeness to ask first, they shouldn't touch my anything.
What's it so hard about opening your mouth and ask for permission?

And some (lots of) people don't want their private stuffs being touched, especially without their permission.
