The problem is, there is no real treatment for BIID. Yeah Therapy and Antidepressants work for a while, they aren’t a permanent solution.

BIID is a hell of a disorder to look at or into. Body Integrity Identity Disorder is the psychological need to be disabled. In Julie’s case here, it’s to have been blind, in other people’s cases it’s amputation of limbs. In essence, the person has dysphoria towards being able bodied. Imagine waking up everyday and wishing your leg would fall off, it’s disturbing what the brain can think of sometimes.

pokethebear, I’ve grown up in the Wabash Valley for all of my 18 years. The hole Mike Pence has left in this state is unimaginable. Rather than focus on a crippling economy about to be crushed by the increasing weight of its own accord, he instead focused on reducing the right of people he deemed a lesser being (LGBTQ+) in a state rife with homophobia and racism. I was also born into a middle class family, and to watch as my family seemingly loosing money to big businesses sickened me. It was only in my later years did it all click together, but it was there. I may not have lived in Terre Haute myself, but I have family that works in the city and I graduated in there schools, and I can say that Mike Pence has succeeded as a Republican. To make the people hate the “lesser” beings in fits of homophobia and catholic right, made the poorer even more poor and the richer look like Scrooge McDuck. I did grow up, with Pence as mayor, governor and Vice President Of the United States. I’m aware.
