Interesting note, the Bible states "God prepared a great fish to swallow up Jonah" (Jonah 1:17 KJV). I think we just say whale because we usually associate it with being a large sea creature. It was not necessarily a whale.

My point there is that evolution and Christianity are incompatible. Believing evolution which is based on man's word completely opposes the biblical teaching and history of God's word.

Okay, I am not being sarcastic. If old-age universe evolution were true, wouldn't that mean death came before sin? Doesn't the Bible say the opposite, that sin came before death?

Isn't that a clear example of how devastating an incorrect religion is?
Note that I'm speaking as a Christian, and so I view all other religions as false. I respect other people's views and opinions, but I still think they are not true.

Well I don't agree. I say the Bible can and should be taken literally when it is presented as such. Without its literal interpretation, all underlying themes and ideas crumble and do not make much sense.

And here's my obligatory anti-evolution comment. Birds did not evolve from dinosaurs. Their types were created individually merely 6000 years ago by God on the 5th day of Creation. That is what I believe, and it is backed up by solid science.
