Good to be back mate. Right this isnt the first time George has faced criticism when you write a story like Martin's someone will complain. Im sure thats why he said its not fan service.

False the first armies arose from one of 2 things. To attack neighbors for land or resources. And to defend against the former. An armies purpose heavily depends on time period culture government type and previous conflicts. In short HISTORY IS COMPLICATED. DEUS VULT.

Ill admit that cryptic line of his was really off. Should've said "the three eyed raven serves the realm. If you think it best then so be it" or even a "as you wish" wouldve made more sense.

Right like i feel like the show always favored the "game of thrones" plot vs the "zombie apocalypse" plot. I wish they drew the last 2 seasons out more. But this is not the train wreck the internet is claiming it is.
