It's an '80s-fashioned sci-fi, rich in citations of other masterpieces (Steven Spielberg, Stephen King, JJ Abrams, Ridley Scott, Wes Craven and many more), which makes it enjoyably nerdy.
Basically, in a small Midwest town a boy goes missing and his friends (along with his family) start a mission to find him.
Wonderful cast. Delightful soundtrack. It's really worth a try. You won't regret it.
