We're not bitching about it, the standard system has been selected as a globally accepted system, much like the English language being selected as lingua franca, no one is trying to impose it on you, but the standard system can be more easily understood by the rest of us. You can use your system for as long as you want, I don't care at all. I have learned your system as well so more fun for me

There are 360 degrees in a circle. I don't think that's related to centigrade at all. We didn't grow up with foot, inches, and miles. I convert them to meters and km every time and it's a little hard. Again with temperature degrees.

He/she said what is the foot equivalent. That's a pretty weired question and requirement, why should there be any precise equivalent for foot? That's an unscientific objection to anything. You say one kilo or two kilos of meat, what's the precise equivalent of bacon? It's absurd

If that's the situation and this is the only choice, I stand corrected. More power to them.

I didn't actually know what they mean by puppy mills. Is it really a rampant problem? Aren't there already any government agencies that deal with that?

I'm trying to see the big picture. Just think about this law a little bit deeper. Who is going to go and check all the individual animals in all the per stores in California? Of course it needs a new government agency and a number of animal agents to go and check every animal, meanwhile, there are only three people to go and check dams and roads and bridges. So you have a pet store, there's another law you have to abide by and a 500$ penalty for each pet, oh you're not going to pay that? We will get our money, who will pay for our agents then? If the problem is indeed the puppy mills, go and close them down, don't create a huge bureaucracy around this.

I'm shaking my head at these lazy bs politicians. Who votes for these morons, go do something useful, create jobs for the homeless, help educate those who dropped out ofschool, do something meaningful instead of sitting around creating bullshit laws

The average American height for men is 177 cm or 69.7 inches, which is approximately 5 foot 10 inches tall. (for white males*). A height chart for men of “White” race/ethnicity*, showing average height changes with age. (hint: 5 feet tall is 60 inches or 152 centimeters. 6 feet tall is 72 inches or 183 centimeters.)

You're welcome. I'm learning French using Duolingo. It's a great language. FYI you don't need to start over, I think you can take a shortcut in the middle of the tree and jump to higher levels.
