Not racist, since what you described doesn't apply to a specific race. I've seen, heard of and even known the kind of people you described and they came from all sorts of backgrounds. As long as you know what kind of people not to mix with nor turn into, you'll be doing just fine.

I'm black. I do feel as though I get a small amount of racism every day; people treating me different because of the color of my skin. Or maybe it's my acidic personality. I don't know.
What I do know is that the majority of the people in my school by itself are frustrating and cause stress to be on a regular basis. It's so difficult because not everything can be documented. If someone breaks my supplies, all I get is an "I'm so sorry that happened to you!". That doesn't fix my sharpener. That does not return my pencils to me. That's not enough, not at all.
So I write. I write because it's the one thing I'm good at. I write because I want to prove something to myself and to others. I will not let these people have all this power over me.
End rant.
