Would love to chat about this! I spent 8 years studying theoretical physics so I might as well put it to good use, haha.

Have you ever heard about how colors work and how we see them?
captainjackharknes · 7 years ago
Yes,humans have three different types of color rods in our eyes, which allow us to see not only the three primary colors, but all the colors they mix into. But we cannot see anything higher or lower on the spectrum, but some animals can, like shrimp, and butterflies.

Pretty much white is the absence of color while black is the presence of color. What do you have silver
unicycle · 7 years ago
Actually the whole "absence/presence of color" idea is kind of misleading. Seeing white means that there are enough colors to activate the three kinds of cone receptors in your eyes. Black is the lack of activation of the receptors (not enough colors or light).

I see, this whole time I believed to know that white is absence while black was presence. Thanks for this info

Isn't white/black being the absesce/presence of color dependent on if you're looking at pigment or lightwaves?
hyperion · 7 years ago
Yes, it is mostly looked as "you see red because the object is reflecting red"
unicycle · 7 years ago
Essentially, when talking about pigment or paint, black is all the colors combined and white is a lack of color. When talking about light, it's as I explained above where white is many colors and black is a lack of color.

Ah yes..I see that now. Sorry :/

Spontaneous combustion? There have been some incidents but I don't believe there have been a scientific explanation as to why causes it.they are considered false claims until there is valid visible proof someone spontaneous catching fire
