For a while in my first semester of college, I had one friend, just a guy a few doors down from me. We got along instantly, though I noticed he was rather handsy even when I made it very clear that I have a boyfriend. When I asked about it, he just said he was a touchy-feely person, so I just accepted it. Most of the things were minor, like playing with my hair or carrying me around in the pool unexpectedly. I never saw any of these things as sexual. But then there was one time we were in his room and I was sitting on the chair and he was on the floor. I don't remember what happened beforehand, but then he crawled up, his head in my lap, and kissed the crotch of my shorts. I told him that was too far and I left.
I think I was assaulted.

I think you handled that situation well. Whether it was assault or not is a hard thing to say but I think if you're uncomfortable about this event even though it was a year ago you should talk to somebody but if not it might be easier just to try and move on.

Thanks. I just talked to my mom about it and I feel a lot better.

I'm glad, hopefully you can move on from it now :)

I think it does technically class as sexual assault. He touched you without permission and inappropriately. Well done for handling it so well, I'd have kicked him in the dick.
