Maybe because society has become more accepting of LGBT and people have been queer all along but now can be out? Maybe because people are more educated about different identities and are able to have labels for how they feel? Or maybe it's just the fluoride added to the water supply by the government to turn people gay and stop overpopulation.

Yeah I think it's just cause people have become more accepting so LGBTQ+ people feel less afraid to come out. Some do it for attention and some don't but when you think about it, maybe you've just noticed more people who are LGBTQ+? You may have a greater ratio of gay:straight friends but that could just be you. I like to think of it like when you get a car, you start noticing that model of car everywhere but before you didn't think about it. So it could just be perspective. I could be wrong though

...Being bisexual isn't a phase. Some gay people will mess around with both genders before discovering that they enjoy this gender over the other, but they were never bisexual. They just didn't know if they were gay or not. If you are actually bisexual then it isn't something you grow out of.
