I'm pretty much wanting some indoor plants cause I love plants and I want some in my room to make me feel better BUT I don't want water or soil getting on my carpet or anything and I need the plant to be able to grow with either heaps of light or little light and in a hot room. I've never had indoor plants before so I just need advice as to what ones to choose and how to take care of them (and I really like the hanging ones)

Succulents! They love sunshine, won't need much care, and are super cute! You don't need to water them much so there's less of a danger of spilling, and they'll keep on surviving which makes you feel great about your gardening skills. There's a bunch of different types, so you can decide if you want ones that are flowering, lots of leaves, spiky, etc. You can search for pictures to get an idea of the different kinds that are out there.

Noice noice, I'm liking these suggestions. Are there any plants that are leafy and soft? I like succulents a lot but I'm not a huge fan of the spiky ones. I kinda like the flowing vine ones
