Big broad subject. Do you want to learn how cars work and how to work on them? The physics behind them? How to drive/race? Is there a type of car or racing that interest you? History of cars? In general- any “culture” or subject starts with understanding the lingo. Grab a good racing game that lets you mod cars, or a car magazine with cars that you like. Start taking note of words you don’t understand. Google and research what those are and you’ll find a rabbit hole. Researching one thing will mean needing to learn another and so on. Learn the basic and major parts of cars, what they do- and then you’ll start seeing variations and modifications. When magazines and games and videos aren’t enough- browse forums. SEARCH. See on real cars. These people are more open to noob questions and you’ll eventually meet the most valuable thing in cars- car buddies- and your car gurus who will guide you through the maze. When and if you get that far buy a car. No need to spend a lot. Make sure it’s in good shape, but old is fine- better in many ways for this. That’s where you can start to get hands on. As an alternative hanging out and helpin car buddies work on their cars is a great way to gain knowledge and experience for free. Not too many people will say no to free labor and company, so you’re trading work for their wisdom. That’s my best advice. I can’t recomend any YouTube channels because there isn’t too much on YouTube for me concerning cars- and what is there is specific and likely not useful to you. Read, search, ask questions, google things you don’t understand.
