On a lighter note though, it's pretty crazy being one of the few that has been around for years watching the users come and go. People you once knew but never truly did. it's a wild wild world we live in

10 years ago I would stay up at night thinking I'd be alone forever but now I'm married, have great friends and solid relationships with my family. So for anyone in that place, everything's going to work out.

10 years ago I was in a wonderful relationship with a beautiful girl and would sleep like a baby, now I lay awake most nights wondering what went wrong and what I did wrong. Life has its ups and downs. There are bad times and good times. Just the way it is.

I think everyone worries about that at some point.. Although alone has a few definitions. Taking a bit to get entirely too philosophical. You could be talking about romantically, which is the most common interpretation. Fearing you'll never find someone. Alternatively there's fearing there will be literally no one in your life who cares about you. Family, friends, etc. And then there's emotional loneliness, where you'll have people, but no connection. Complete emotional isolation. I don't think anyone is immune to thinking about these things. I've known some people who get completely paralysed by those kinds of thoughts to the point of having near panic attacks.

As for the second part, I haven't been on this site long enough to have had that experience here, but I've had it plenty of other places. It's both bizarre and surreal sometimes sitting back and thinking there's people out there that I won't meet, that I haven't spoken to in years, that I don't know anymore, and yet we've had insanely huge impacts on each others' lives
