I will need to see it in action first, but I’m not optimistic. I’m the kind of person that finds it upsetting to change my faboueite characters so the character development better be spot on!

I'm more interested to see who's playing Yen and Triss honestly.

Something seems.. off.

I always hoped Joseph Mawle would play Geralt. He has the look and the voice.

I don’t even know who that is. I will have to look.

He plays Benjen Stark

my personal pick would be nikolaj coster-waldau. he looks perfect in my opinion

I was thinking about him too actually. I think he’d be really good!

For me its less about looks. Cavill has expressed that hes a fan and read the book of which this show his adapting. I trust that he like us would want to see Geralt done right.

That’s the only thing that is pacifying my apprehension at this point

They could have done ALOT worse

But the most important thing is... does Henry Cavill play Gwent?
deleted · 5 years ago
I can only imagine the show being in half an hour episodes and we get like 5-10 minutes of story because the rest is Cavill finding people to play Gwent with.

@vitklim If you havent played any of the games ive seen many people advise playing either in reverse order or playing 2,3 then back to 1.

Why in reverse? @bethorien

Personally i'd say 2,3 then back to 1 is the best as 3 is a direct sequel to 3 but 1 is a different time frame. A good comparison is to oblivion being the witcher skyrim being witcher 2 and dragonborn being witcher 3.
Also the reason for reverse order isnt really known to me i've just read it stated in quite a few places.
The reason id personally say to do the 2,3,1 thing is the fact that 2 and 3 are a lot higher quality in the visual and audio aspects while retaining the amazing story, lore, worldbuilding, etc of the first game and playing the 2 and 3 first lets you get acquainted with the universe (and hopefully in love with it and its storytelling style) without the risk of getting burnt out on the older tech and comparably lower quality voice acting of the first game

No chronologically 2 takes place not long after the first game they say so. When talking about the autopsy on the assassin. Its not its own time frame. True it plays totally different its almost like a different game.

It's 7 months difference between game one and game 2. Witcher 2 ends in almost December of that year and witcher 3 takes place the next spring which is 3-4 months later and has a lot of that what happened between 2 and 3 explained

Also I should state that the 3-4 month time difference between the is strictly when actual full on gameplay starts. The actual game just pressed start starts you off very close to the end of 2
