Are you naturally emotionally intuitive? I wonder if your brain is working through situations close to you and then they pan out similar to your dream because you have a good sense of what's going to happen anyway.

Scientific answer: you'd have to record every dream you have and take note of which ones become accurate in real life. My gut says that prophetic dreams occur infrequently in the total of all dreams and so are likely just coincidence. Your brain loves patterns and so makes associations between events in dreams and real events even if they're only tangentially related.
Fun answer: there's a lot we don't understand and it really does seem like some of my dreams predict what's going to happen so who's to say? As long as you're not making huge decisions based on dreams, it's more fun to believe that your dreams are meaningful instead of mindless chaos.

I've had some before. Most prominent was 1 in which I dreamt one of my friends ignored everyone and she had a shoulder length haircut. I messaged her about it and turns out that was true (she used to have really long hair) and she was ignoring everyone for like a month after

I'm just lucky. I don't dream. And yes I know, "Hurr durr, you dream but you just don't remember."
While dreaming may be a cultural universal, it is clear that some individuals recall few or no dreams over many years. These individuals suffer no ill consequences from their apparent inability to dream. Dream recall apparently is not necessary for mental, physical or cultural health.
