Wtf that's not very nice of them. I don't know what kind of situation you're in family wise so I don't know what kind of advice I can give you. Regardless, I wish you a Merry Christmas.

This is saddening to hear, I hope your situation will be better. How was your time at your grandparents' place.

I don't know your personal family issues but just from this it sounds like they are in the wrong and are just being rude. Who knows though, something may have happened between them beforehand that caused them to act that way. You shouldn't worry though, you've done nothing wrong and it sounds like your grandparents welcome you. Have an amazing christmas regardless and try to enjoy yourself :)

I agree with parisqueen. It seems like you haven't done anything wrong, so I wouldn't worry about it. Maybe they just woke up on the wrong side of the bed.

maybe your happiness triggered them

No clue... just kind of done with it. I know my dad wants me around but his fiance hasn't been a fan of me from day one. I've tales about it before where she tried to force me or if the house multiple times right after i turned 18 and constantly made side comments around me that only i would catch.

Well no offence to the rest of your family but your dads fiance sounds like a bitch. This shouldn't be any reflection on you though, just ignore her and enjoy your Dad's company cause if he wants you there then her opinion shouldn't matter.

Let's be honest here, what did you expect? Especially considering even what little I know of you two's prior history.
In any case, I hope you had at least a decent Christmas.
