So I'm home from school today. Yesterday a kid was shot,and left in the parking lot. It was probably suicide,but apparently his friends said they were going to shoot up the school today. The bus driver still did his rounds,but was telling people no school today,in case they hadn't wagched the news. Before today,school shootings seemed so distant,and not really all that big to me,but now that there's been threats and rumors about it happening,in my town,my SCHOOL,i am genuinely afraid. It just seems a lot realler now. I don't know,im just afraid i guess...

I'm so sorry that this is a reality for you, any shooting of any kind is horrible but at a school, that's disgusting. It's a completely normal reaction to be afraid, and you should stay home from school for awhile until the police have sorted this out. There are always going to be people in this world who feel like death is the only option, and sadly there's those who wish death upon others. I'm really sorry you have to go through something like this and I'm here if you want to talk about anything you're afraid of, or anything at all. x
