Scrolling online at 9%, when it suddenly drops to 7%. Nothing too unusual, I just thought I missed the 8%.
Then 30 seconds later my phone turned off. When I turned it back on, it said 0%. How the fuck did it manage that?

Sometimes the battery power is off sync. Completely draining the battery and charging it to 100% should help the system re-calibrate.
