Hey! Any Nintendo handheld console users here? I need some help! My hubby broke his old 2DS just before Christmas (screens got smashed up badly) and had been borrowing my 3DS in the meantime. Today he bought a secondhand 2DS from our friend (it's the limited edition blue one for Pokemon Sun & Moon) and it's still logged into our friends account. Now I understand that my hubby can't log into his previous account when we reset this console but I need to know whether he'll still be able to play all his previous games on a new account as I know that the saves save onto the cartridge and the saved data saves onto the SD card (which we still have) or will he have to start from scratch gamewise?

I'm pretty sure he doesn't have to start again, if the data is saved onto the SD card itself and not the device it should be fine but if you're starting a whole new account then the data would be saved onto that account and not the SD card. I don't know too much about this sorry so I think the best thing to do is just give it a go and see what happens
