Shame? Really? Seriously? It actually looks like decent parenting to me. It usually doesn't hurt us at all to find out that the universe does not revolve around "ME." As a parent, I made sister include when it was reasonable (friends the same age, cousins) but otherwise, it is healthy for them both to develop their own friends. And get over it.
