I agrees with you completely, except the fact that he is a kid. As a kid he only knows what his parent taught him. As the kid is a kid, the picture only taught him that wearing a dress is ok. He probably only want to wear that dress because it looks pretty, not because he is mentally a girl. He doesn't instinctively want to wear dress if he is mentally a girl. If we are talking about someone older than 12-15, then you are completely right. He should stand up for what's right!!! but before he even knows what he really want...... He is biologically too small to be mentally independent. (the 12-15 thing was a long time ago, i forgot what was the actual average age for independent character to develop on child....shouldn't be far off...)

You can look at it 2 ways.
There is one where bullying/ conformity is good. It helps construct a good society and ultimately we have a Hitler world where we can't even walk faster or slower with out being killed. And no one will actually come up with a solution to any life threatening problems because they will be killed for speaking up.
And then there is the every one is unique and bullying is bad. Social punishment on someone for being special is bad. You should respect your child and let his imagination grow. Ultimately you are teaching your children that there are no consequence to what ever action he does and we will arrive a world where everyone is killing everyone, because killers r as equal and unique as priest. And we should respect their choice of killing the same as the bully should respect a cross dresser.
seriously~ stop being so extreme~~
