My bra strap shows at work by accident all the time. It's the nature of a lot of women's tops these days. The life lesson is that hey, most adults ARE adults, and they can handle an accidental bra strap flash without having a stroke. If you can't handle an accidental bra strap flash without having a stroke, you probably shouldn't be in the work force at all.

This is why we need mandatory vaccination 40 comments
dancadamorte · 6 years ago
The problem with just leaving it a societal norm is that societal norms change. In the case of vaccination, it's not a cultural issue...it's literal life or death for MANY, not just the unvaccinated. If the non-vaccination rate goes below a certain percentage of the population, you're looking at potential breakouts of diseases and TONS of deaths or permanent disabilities. With that much illness going around even vaccinated individuals are at risk, as are the people who for medical reasons want to get vaccinated but can't. So unfortunately, peer pressure and societal norms aren't enough when it comes to stopping the literal plagues that used to be a regularity. People forget just HOW common death from these diseases were because simply because they were rampant.

The vagina itself doesn't get "loose," it's basically a sleeve that's made to adjust to what goes in it. Even after birth, it goes back to its original size. The average penis doesn't really stretch the average vagina...they're not that big, relatively speaking. The opening itself can vary in size though, and certain positions can stretch the opening. That, along with natural lubrication that help things go in and out easily, can make them appear "loose" in porno. If a guy says a woman feels loose, that just means that his penis doesn't match. The Kama Sutra has interesting information on this, describing three types/sizes of men and women and how to best match them for pleasure.

Kathy Griffin is one of those people who used to be funny and cool but can't change with the times. The last time I watched one of her stand ups I had to roll my eyes and turn it off. And now she can't even do anything mild or even i teresting without it seeming like attention whoring because she does that so much these days.

My uncle is one in California. He and his coworkers got upset because they recently changed the recertification test questions and now they all "actually have to read the manuals and know the laws, what kind of bullshit is that, nobody has that kind of time."

Well--and I preface this with a mention that I don't condone violence at all and that the punch would be a bit too far if this is real--it started with her shutting him down and then leaving. So, she was willing to walk away and let it be. If the story is true, he grabbed her and pulled her back. That's a no no. You don't grab people who are trying to leave. Don't do it. Nuh uh. A broken nose is definitely too far, but a slap to the face would have been warranted. Don't grab people, of any gender. If a person is choosing to walk away from you, that's it. You put your hands on them, you're inviting something more than a "no."

Princesses don't have authority. Queens have authority. Princesses are daighters of authority figures or wives of future authority figures. They don't give orders. In fiction, when you go from that to having authority over some of the very cogs of war, it's a promotion.

So? They're not taking pictures of you or your food. Their selfies are probably getting plenty of likes from their friends and followers, that's who those pictures are meant for. The people who, yes, do want to see them. And there are whole curated food accounts on Instagram because LOTS of people like looking at food. Like, hell yeah I care what you're eating, if it looks delicious I wanna see it. Give me dinner ideas.

Because for some reason people get really upset at other people for daring to enjoy technology. The level of hate these days for selfies or Instagram pic takers by people who are literally affected in no way is astounding.

Correct! Newton's first law is also at work. A vacuum has no friction, so once propelled a rocket's engine can be turned off and it will continue to move until acted upon by an outside force (gravity, asteroids, opposite aimed thrusters, etc).

Rocket fuel ignites to produce expanding gases, which are then vented through narrow "nozzles" created for the purpose of directing their release. Newton's third law, action having reaction, is a statement that action is doubled. If you sit in a chair, you exert force down amd the chair exerts force back up at you. A and B always interact, there is no one single actor. By definition, when the gas exerts pressure on the rocket as it escapes, the rocket material exerts an opposite pressure on the fuel. In layman's terms, "it pushes off it's own fuel" is correct.

There are also tons of cosmetic companies that don't test on animals, so that proves it can be done. At this point, for cosmetics if you're testing on animals it's now at the tipping point into "unnecessary and unethical" territory. Animal testing for medicine is still necessary, but we are making progress toward being more humane and toward technologies to make it unneccessary.

Most people don't hate on her over the number...you do you. They hate on her because she doesn't own up to her dating habits and say "pfft, I do what I want." Instead she puts up that annoying, naive-innocent, "look at me, I'm just a plain, boring, normal girl" persona and sweeps her dating life under the rug to pretend it doesn't exist. Intended or not, it helps give her fans the impression that dating around and enjoying your sexuality is either bad and shouldn't be done or is dirty and shouldn't be talked about. Only nice, innocent girls get ahead. Look at Miley Cyrus...she's always been pretty low in the dating numbers but everyone slams her for being open about being a young adult woman having fun. Taylor Swift is a great musician, I love her work, but she's kind of a serial liar about who she is.

That's the glory of there being 7 billion people in the world. There is an audience for everything and anything, and somebody sonewhere will always think something's good. You just gotta find them to market it to them.

It's law here, IN the driving manual, that you have your headlights turned on if the environment requires you to have your wipers going "either constantly or intermittently." Which is telling dumb people to turn on their lights even if it's just a drizzle. The number of people going 70 on the highway with no lights then getting pissed when they aren't seen is mindblowing.

That's kind of the point of like/dislike buttons. It's so people can say they agree or disagree without having to take the time to argue. Whining that people don't have the time/inclination to have a lengthy conversation with you on an image posting site is a little bit weird, don't you think? Do you complain when people don't explicitly state their reasons for upvoting as well, or are you just angry people dare to disagree?
