And shovelling snow and being yelled at isn't even that bad a punishment, especially compared to what could have happened had police been involved. And it's on their sidewalk in front of their home where the few neighbors MIGHT see, it's not like it's the middle of a mall where numerous people would see, so it's not public humiliation AT ALL.
