It would be cool to see how many hours of work it took to buy something compared to now. I remember seeing something like that in my Econ book, and the chart showed it takes less time worked to buy groceries today.

The thing is they sometimes torture the poor dogs before they kill them, due to the belief that the adrenaline will make them taste better (it doesn't). Even with cows and chickens, I would want them to be treated humanely.

If you're actually stranded on a desert island, the international distress symbol is a triangle. Much easier to make than the word "help."

It's the equation that's at fault. It should be written:
6
---------=1
2(1+2)
or
6
---(1+2)=9
2
The division symbol leads to ambiguity, and while it's fine for teaching beginning math, it shouldn't be used in an equation like this.

Fun fact: our Western idea of "perfect" is heavily based off the Greek belief that perfection is static, like a statue. However the Jewish idea of "perfect" is that perfection can be dynamic, like a garden. Something can change and still be perfect, so if God has a plan and then we pray to change that plan and God complies, that doesn't mean He's imperfect.

I didn't say GMOs are harmful, only that GMOs are different than selective breeding.

While that's technically correct, it's not what people mean when they say GMO. It's like, if someone said "don't eat those cherries someone sprayed chemicals on them" you wouldn't respond by saying "everything is a chemical! The cherries are fine!" You implicitly understand they mean harmful chemicals. Similarly, when someone says GMO they refer only to organisms that have been genetically engineered, which is different from selective breeding.

I think what they meant was "the act of pulling melted cheese into a long gooey thread is so satisfying" and they just used mozzarella sticks for demonstration. They could have used a grilled cheese.

My guess is that it's a beauty competition that excludes the face, so they cover it up so the judges aren't influenced.

There is a charity called LiNK (Liberty in North Korea) that helps refugees escape. It's not as dramatic as going to war, but every little bit helps.
