I know that this is a popular argument but I personally think that just because we have a substance that causes people to bring harm upon themselves and others, doesn't mean that we should legalise and bring into action another destructive substance. People just seem to think that just because we have alcohol we should be able to have marijuana. Enough people die each year due to people getting behind the wheel after drinking. Do you really wanna argue that we should give people more ways to kill themselves and others?
Actually, there are some positive health benefits that have been associated with moderate and controlled alcohol consumption. Most notably, the lowered risk of heart disease. And in terms of marijuana's medical benefits, there are scientists working on a strand of marijuana that has little-to-no THC at all (the ingredient in weed that makes you high) in order to use it as a medical treatment for diseases.
Wine mostly, yes. I had forgotten about that. My bad. But even in its original state, whether it be swag (less THC) or dro (more THC) the benefits of weed are a lot more than alcohol. It helps with sleep, it helps with appetite, it's even being proven that it can help cure cancer, and etc. Also, here's a funfact, we as humans (maybe even animals, I'm not sure) already have a form of THC in our systems, a little bit, but it's there. To help us forgot all the mundane things we do like opening and closing a door.
Nothing wrong with chilling while drinking a few brews with the gang. I dont really care about weed. I have an addictive personality and I dont need that shit taking over my life with the other shit that already has taken over my life.
