Actually you wouldn't hear anything at all because in space there is no matter for sound waves to bounce off of... So it would be completely silent even if it weren't a gif

I have an objection. Doesn't impact energy transfer through an object at the speed of sound (within that medium) maximum? Those cracks running through the world are far too fast.
