Humanity wasn't always like this. Once there was a previous race... the Hoomans. They were exactly like us. Their History, Culture and Technology was the same even to the minutest detail. They started off like us and then they had an idea. They invented a virus. A virus that would kill anything it touched. They tested it in France, and it quickly spread to Belgium. Many people were killed instantly and it kept on moving. It spread through billions of people, and soon there were only a handful of survivors. These survivors decided that the only thing to do was to rebuild. But one of them, Adam, had an invention that he had been waiting a long time to test. It was a time machine. He and his wife, Eve, went back in time to the start of civilisation. They brought with them many gadgets that helped in making what we take for granted, such as the wheel and fire. They died after a while but they put measures in place so that Humans, as they were now called, would not go through the same...

fate that befell them. But their warnings quickly faded away into the darkness and were forgotten. A while later the Humans progressed to the point at which they too had an idea. Time had come all the way around and this slow but ever-turning cycle continues on today. We are not the first nor the last to have experienced this but we are surely one of the first to realise our mistakes. If we are careful we can get rid of the possibility of the "accident" happening during our life-time but it will surely happen... eventually. Time is like that, un-changeable. You can slow it down for tens, hundreds even thousands of years but you cannot stop it from happening.
