I'm friends with someone, let's call them Jen. Jen is friends with someone we could call Rhys. I hate Rhys, as Rhys has done some horrible things to me, like release personal info online, slander, and send their followers against me for no other reason than jealousy. Jen and I are growing apart slightly now for some reason, and we were talking about Rhys, and she asked why I dislike him. I told her about all the stuff he did to me, plus the fact that he actually just scares the shit out of me in general. I get bad feelings around him, and he terrifies me. Jen refused to believe anything I said, really, and just got upset.
Sorry for venting here, I needed to let it out. I'm worried about my friendship with Jen. Hopefully it's okay that I'm commenting this.
Maybe say to Jen that he/him may or may not believe me but you can still should be friends. Tell him/her all the memories you have had together and all the hard times you have been through and say that Rhys shouldn't get in the way of your strong friendship. Say to Jen that you may dislike Rhys and you don't want Rhys to hurt Jen but you can't make him or her to make that decision and that it is his/her decision to unfriend or continue to be friends with Rhys. Just so that they know if stuff happens you are always there for his/her. :) hope this has helped.
