Yeah, in Greece no one cared if you were gay or straight (or a pedo), your social standered was based off whether you were taking it or giving it. I don't know about the girls, tho.
We actually rarely bring it up, out of fear of being rejected or hurt. Vegans can do it all they want, because nobody would hurt them for it.
I mean, I do jokingly scream "I'M GAY" at my friends a lot, but I won't walk up to you straight folk and just go, "How's your day? I'm gay." I wouldn't compare us to vegans at all.
then why can't i go 10 minutes without the gay community constantly talking about their gayness or about how they are being discriminated against and how they are being held back, yet i never hear my straight friends talking about it. my church going parents never talk about it, when i go to their church, they never talk about it. i never hear it at the store, never hear it from any of the people who are supposedly holding you back, yet i hear you complaining all the damn time. i have no problem with you being gay, in fact i really don't care. i am really just tired of hearing about it. honestly it isn't our business stop bringing it up. i don't care what your genitals are doing and who they are doing it with.

Lol wtf, if shit happens people are gonna talk about it gay or not. It seems like you're overreacting, because if shit like that is really happening where you are, you are in a bad place. You probably won't hear it as much if you get off of tumblr. 90% of us gays don't go around shoving our sexuality in other people's faces calm down jeez
honestly never went to tumbler, well that i know of. i have seen many posts here and there that might be tumbler but don't know the format enough to know if one is/isn't or to know if i followed a link to it. the fact is i can point out a dozen LBGT people on this site, because it comes up so frequently in conversation. i mean there are parades, days and so many other things dedicated to their sexuality and identity. and frankly many of us don't care enough to want to know about them. seriously, why should i care if a character in beauty and the beast is gay? why do they need to let us know. why use that fact as nothing more than an advertisement ploy, using gays as a tool and so many people eat it all up. "they are so inclusive" no, they know they can use you for another dime. back in the day we assumed the character was gay, but didn't care enough to worry about it. why should we? we didn't care about someones sexuality nearly as much as we do today. it isn't our business.

We talk about many frequent topics on here, why does it matter if one of them are gay? And, if it bothers you that much, ignore it, jeez. You sound like that guy who says "I don't care if you are gay, I just don't want you to talk about it."
no, no, no. you miss the point here. what i am saying that like in ancient greese, we don't care if you are gay or not. it isn't our issue. for a long time no one cared. people seem to think that we discriminate against it because they, live vegans, want the attention and admiration of being gay. which today apparently is a thing. so, because the gay community keep talking about it, it appears that we care about you being gay, but we don't. for a while now we had gay characters in movies and games. it is that we didn't say they were gay (well not most of the time) but you knew. we didn't need the validation. you can easily watch old 70's sitcoms where a character was gay, but they were accepted. yes, i know a few think it is sick, but those people are jerks. just like racists, not really a lot around, but those who are are just jerks. i'd use stronger language, but i don't know what i could get away with, so "jerks".
since people rarely pay attention to the conversation and get more into defending themselves, rather than read the post let me give you a run down.
>german_satan: greese didn't care if you were gay.
>me: we still don't, it looks like we do because gays keep brinigng it up
>chilledtothebone: gay don't bring it up for fear of rejection
>me: gays talk about it all the time. here are following things to look at to prove it, or an opening for me to prove it.
>german_satan: we talk about a lot of thing. why don't you ignore what they say.
>me: a summery of my points that furthur cement what i talked about prior.
i think i will have to do this more often in the future otherwise this conversation will degrade like in the past. this isn't a hit on gays. i am saying we are more accepting than people want to believe.
