Yeah, sorry, no. If they buy like 6 different baked goods, a bread and a coffee to go they DON'T know how much it costs. And I only have a limited amount of coins for change that I could give them. So I appreciate it very much if they wait and hear how much it is and then maybe they have the exact amount with them. So how about you do me a favour and STFU.
Depends on where you are. In America yea they probably haven't done tax in their head but most other places it's as easy as adding all the tags up cause tax is included in the listed price. Also I almost always know how much my stuff is cause I only bought what I had the money for.
I wasn't talking about taxes and I'm not from America. Also you seem to be an exception then. Not a single one of my customers did that (adding up the tags).
I wasn't assuming you were talking about taxes just positing a reason as to why one might not add up totals. I suppose that just means you didn't ever get the last of the pile crowd or at least not those that used their whole bit.
If you hand it to the cashier they should hand it back to you, if you put it on the counter expect it to be given back to you by the counter...I dealt with it this for 5 years it's that simple!!
