If the Big Bang event was the centre, then everywhere in the Universe now is the same distance from the centre. This way, everything including you is kind of the centre. But it’s weird to try and apply something like a centre to something like the whole universe.
I think the theory is that if the universe is infinite in all directions than all points are equally centered. A smallish town north of me declared their motto to be the Center of the Universe and put up a monument to the exact spot. The local brewery is named after it and they have tourist events about it.
