I do it, not always a bogan thing its more a "yeah the boys" mentality. I could be at a piss-up with some mates and one of them would pick one of us out and start chanting shoey and if ya dont get ya shoe off and get ya drink in there then your gonna be doggin the boys and get roasted rest of the night
Doing a shoey isnt even bad, most people just down it quickly and then if theres any bad taste wash it down with another drink. Plus that's just normal use shoes that most people do them with, a bad shoey is one where its ya work boots and you been working all day in them and then have to do a shoey
And funnily enough i sorta done that as well haha, me and my mates were on a balcony like 4 ft above ground and if i bellyflopped from it i got a free drink from each of them
It's a bit bogan thing, you ain't gonna see it unless you're at an absolute smasher or a bush doof. You'd probs be absolutely maggot to try it as well.
I prefer it off the tap though ;)
