When my cat started doing that it was because she had a pharyngal tumor :(

i heard that if cats doing that while sleeping and or cuddle session it just means they feel good..but sadly there is too the option that they don't. that makes it a little bit unpredictable..
A drop of drool can mean they really enjoy their cuddle with you. A string like this however means there's something wrong and the cat feels nauseous. Please take him to the vet.

I don't have a cat, i found the picture online. i heard that if a cat sleeps or feels good this happens so i posted it
