O yes I can I did it once and I will do it again because this time I am stronger. Before I was a teen with no one but me to worry about but now I have a husband and a kid who need me. You have no power here.
Real question: Is depression 'beatable'? Like, can your brain stop showing all signs of depression? Or do you just learn to cope with it and its symptoms reduce in their impact?
I'm not an expert, and I never got help but if you ever feel like you're in some sort of depressed state for a long time you should reach out to someone. Talking and getting help from anyone you can contact and trust will really help in the long run. I remember being so emotionally unstable I cried almost every day, and when I was able to talk it out with friends I slowly calmed down and I'm able to smile a lot more. Sorry this isn't the greatest advice but this is as much as I know.
