So, funny story. I drive a motorcycle and with almost no traffic I never have to use the horn. The roads in my city are very narrow (just a little over the width of a car). The only time I HAD to use the horn, I was driving slow when a mother and two kids got out of a car and crossed without looking. I drove up to them and didn’t realize I could honk so I umm..just said excuse me out loud. Well it worked!
Lol. When I started riding my current bike I’d accidentally hit the horn when trying to signal because of how close they are and how big my fingers are in my gloves. People used to think I was crazy or a jerk because we’d be in traffic and I’d just... >beep<. Once I got used to it I trained myself to avoid it and I had a family decide to play musical chairs in their car at a stop light in traffic while I was lane splitting (it’s legal here,) and yeah- all I could do was slow down, go around and let out an “oopsie.”
Haha! This happens a lot to me if I drive someone else’s bike. I’m used to the position of my own turn signal but a lot of times the same position is the horn on other bikes so I’d be rounding a corner and full on blasting the horn like MAKE WAY FOR ME. People get so pissed
