Actually the Finns were never Vikings. In fact they are probably the least contacted mainland culture, historically. Their language is radically different than anything around it and nobody invaded them, and they invaded no one.
Welp that is the first time I’ve actually heard that. Now that I’ve actually looked it up, I’ve always assumed that Scandinavia was Norway Finland and Sweden, but I see now that Denmark is actually part of it. Whoops.
Finland is a part of Norden (the nordic countries) alongside Iceland and others, so they are often confused. Happy I could help someone learn something about scandinavia today :)
