They could be making the world a better place in office. Using proven peer reviewed science to make decisions rather than a personal agenda. Passing legislation to increase science and science education spending, putting the US actually at the forefront of science, exploration, innovation, ect., rather than the dream that we are.
NASA gets 1/10th of one penny for every tax dollar collected. Imagine what they could do with more.
I'm not even worried about NASA. If the US doesn't start investing more in our children's education, I worry I'll live to see this become a third world country.
