And it is these moments that make me wish this website allowed you to subscribe to a user's comments. They're not always fun to read, they're not always relatable and if they are it's generally in a way that I wish they weren't, but... those moments are always worth reading.

Y'see, there's the problem. Clearly, it was mailed by an Australian immigrant who hadn't adjusted to what pansies the American postal services are.

In South Australia and Tasmania it is illegal to offer a reward for a lost item "no questions asked," and can attract a $500 fine (in our money, of course).
Additionally, unless it's been repealed this year, in Western Australia it's illegal to own more than 50kg (just over 110lbs) of potatoes.

The closest thing I have to a counterargument is that the heat qnd humidity will cause the zombies to decompose quicker, meaning that the rednecks wouldn't be entirely responsible for cancelling the apocalypse.

He can converse lengthily with introverts that don't know him without them being terribly uncomfortable, and still chooses not to in order to respect their boundaries.

Well, it's not as though Aussies don't swear in English. We just tend to say cunt more often than most other English-speaking nations, and of course have some... unusual slang.

I'd first negotiate what cut of the money they'd want in return for being shot, starting around 40/60 their way, and figure out how the final balance changes if the wound is worse than intended.

If you'll read the comment chain above, you'd see that's pretty much what happened.

And I was impressed enough with AI from being reminded recently that the alien gunships' AI in Half-Life 2 detected the rockets that you fire at them as being the biggest threat and hence trying to shoot them down. Without the programmers realising that they'd do that.
