I love that book. The part about him making sandwiches was what kept me going when I worked at Quiznos.

1. If a woman works before she has children, she may have a pension/IRA/other retirement savings from that work so that can be saved for retirement.
2. My husband depends on me to do my unpaid work and I have no problems depending on him to do his paid work to provide for us because we function as a family unit money wise. It isn't about us individually, it's about us as a family. I don't see that as a bad thing. My unpaid work provides value for my family by saving whatever money we would otherwise be spending if we hired someone to do my work. The value is in money saved as opposed to earned.

Crochet. I made up the pattern. I like making up patterns but I always forget to write them down so then I have a hard time figuring out just what I did. :-)

I didn't bother because I knew I couldn't make them from yarn without them bring floppy. May just carry around real ones though so I can show them to other people who ask lol.
