isn't for example German a nationality too tho? I never get asked what race I am.. people can clearly see Im white.. I think Ive been asked if Im a "full" Swede a handfull of times, all by americans.. and all I can say is that I think we had a Finnish familymember 8 or 9 generations back..

i think some parts of the US have fairly similar weather to Sweden... but "snow days" in tv shows and movies always amuse me, wish we had those too! Only time Ive ever had a snow day was when I was 8 and we had so much snow that only tanks were allowed on the roads.. we got a meter of snow in less than 24 hours.. it was so much fun!

eh no.. no matter the heel it is difficult to walk on snow.. the heel might save you from completely falling over, but you will look ridiculous ... not speaking from experience at all.. (Granted I do fall even in Timberlands-like shoes so..), at least here in Sweden many bring a second pair of shoes when going out, and change when they get to the party.

Definitely not a retail store thing.. we might not have 24/7 grocery stores all over Sweden.. but 7-23 is pretty alright.. they did some tests on 6hr office work hours, but it is by far not a standard here in Sweden, this is a classic " I just read the title of a thesis and decided it was true" sort of thing.

agree with mopargirl.. its sad to say, but thats how it is. It hits close to home. I have many friends who live in Paris (all of them safe and sound). I skyped with one of them just hours before the attack, so naturally it does shake me quite a bit when this happens.. Of course you care about other cities that are being attacked too.. but it is "shit on shit" as tylerchu says below.. and when Paris got attacked I was reminded that we are not safe in a little bubble..
