I get annoyed as hell when people see a yellow jacket and start panicking and yelling "bee" and buying powders and sprays that kill actual bees. Ignorant motherfuckers, ant these are rural and suburban people. My friend up the street lost half of his hives last year.

France tried to control one of their colonies and keep if from under communist rule by their neighbors. the US tried to help, first in an advisory role then in a military action. France gave up and went home, the US was all like "we got this!", but really we didn't. We finally ran away too.

I have a shrink in the family. This shrink called the police because a patient wielding a kitchen knife was threatening suicide (again). The police arrived and tasered the patient causing a heart attack that several hours later resulted in the patient's death.

Every reservist I work with. The guys down at my Dad's legion post. My friend that has to write and proofread procedural manuals. My friend's supply sergeant wife. Heck, even my inlaws from the navy (m+f). I have yet to personally speak with a (current or former) soldier that supports it or one who has stated that their command chain supports it.

Many people will not want to hear this, But much of our army was outraged a few weeks ago when orders were issued that trans woman soldiers shower with female soldiers even if they possess make genitalia. Transitioning troops were often listed as not battle ready. VA resources were being tied up by troops undergoing reassignment. The proposed trans ban was welcomed by many in our armed forces.
