I think you’re splitting hairs. I read that as “your muscles have the mechanical capacity” to throw you across the room which is true. What you are saying is true as well. We can’t generate enough current to make that happen.

When I see someone do that I take the keys out and put them in the drivers seat but leave the door unlocked. Still not totally immune to thievery but somewhat better off.

Well those two facts kind of support @chad_bullet. With the accent at least I know Americans refused to adopt it because we wanted to be different, it may be true of as well of both metric and date format.

Not sure the exact history but Americans use ordinal numbers for the day like “March 3rd” in spoken form so the writing probably just follows the speech.

I’m on the fence. Trees are fine but corn can both feed people and be converted to ethanol which helps reduce the use of fossil fuels.

If you look closely you can see that those are not the original Teletubbies but are in fact the British Money Lady in four different colors of outfits.
If you haven’t heard of BML her story is quite charming; she became a bit of a national mascot after being chosen as the Face of Britain’s New Currency in a BBC radio contest.
