As a certified white person, I can tell you what this means. It's not really a smile but basically a sigh with your face. It's a "smile" you'd give someone to say, This sucks, or this is a pretty boring situation, or something like that

The definition of kin is literally "one's relatives." And that is what merriam webster says. If you don't believe me her is a link https://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/kin . I don't think believing you are an animal reincarnated is fine. Thinking you are an animal in a humans body, is weird and isn't normal.

I love giving presentations, so when I had a good presentation I would volunteer to go first, so people who went after me wouldn't look as good.
