I more or less agree. Except whenever I use it, it's always has a sort of negative connotation. It's like a "this is painful". A face you'd make to someone when you have to wait in a line that's a little slow, or a busy day at work.

The definition of kin is literally "one's relatives." And that is what merriam webster says. If you don't believe me her is a link https://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/kin . I don't think believing you are an animal reincarnated is fine. Thinking you are an animal in a humans body, is weird and isn't normal.
